Frederick Andrew Ackermann, 99, of Denton, passed away on February 28, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born August 23, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. He was married to Corean Cowan on August 1, 1964 in Berwyn, IL and she passed away on September 16, 2005, he was also preceded in death by his parents, and brother. Fred graduated from the University of Illinois with a mechanical engineering degree, and worked for several companies before moving to Texas.
Survivors include stepson, Michael Cowan Emmett (Ginny); grandchildren, Bridget Trosin (Casey), Robert Emmett and great grandchild, Will Trosin, sister-in-law Marj Cowan Frederiksen; nephew, Kevin Cowan and family and several other nieces and nephews.
His family wishes to thank staff members and care givers of Presbyterian Hospital and Hospice, who were lovingly attentive during his brief illness.
He loved being a member of Gateway Baptist Church, where his service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11 A.M. with visitation before the services from 10 A.M. until service, with Rev.
