Obituary

Fred Lane was born in Pottsboro Texas on July 31, 1936. He grew up during a time where hard work was the norm, 3 channels was all you could ever dream of and buttermilk and cornbread was a treat.

He married Wanda, his wife of 63 years, in 1959. They raised their kids and lived their life in Denison and Euless then finally settling in Denton for the past 54 years.

As a young man Fred was in the Texas National guard and was stationed in Denison. He worked for Gohlke Building products from 1974 until the early 80s. He held a career with RDL supply for over 30 years. He was a dedicated, respected and loved employee.

For his family and friends 85 years was not enough, but the memories of life with this wonderful man will always live on in their hearts.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents William Pollard Lane and Mattie Lou (Moore) and oldest brother Buck. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, his older brother Bill Lane and sister Susie Hetzel. He is also survived by his eldest son Mark A. Lane & family (Connie) daughter Stacy Barnard (Kenneth) and youngest son Bill (Frankie) Along with a passel of grandkids: D.J., Sarah, Lauren, Hannah, Sam, Sofia, and Nina. And seven great grandkids- Georgia, Mattie, Jayden, Lilly, Avery, Lane, Tucker, and Elizabeth Tallon.

We will celebrate and remember his life on Monday May 9, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Denton Bible Church Chapel.
