Francis Jeanell Pettigrew, 90, of Denton, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Pettigrew was born on December 8, 1927 in Pampa, TX to Robia and Mary (Justice) Putman. She was married to Marlon Sutton Pettigrew on December 20, 1944 in Horatio, AR.
Francis is survived by her daughter, Sue Palencia of Denton; sons, Donald Pettigrew of Bryan, Bill Pettigrew of Paris, Danny Pettigrew of Gordonville; sister, Betty Hall of Oklahoma City, OK; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous friends at Fair Oaks Senior Living Center, including Teresa Brower, Mother's friend who has become like family.
A celebration of Francis' home-going will be held at Fair Oaks on December 8, 2018.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of Presbyterian Hospital of Denton and Baylor/Scott & White Hospital for their loving care of our mother. We want to especially thank the angels at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Compass Hospice for their loving ministry to our mother and to us during the long, difficult hours before she passed into eternity.
She was loved by all who knew her, a gentle soul who made everyone feel special. We love you, Mother.
