Francis Keith Craddock, beloved husband and father, 90, of Lake Kiowa, formerly of Denton, passed away peacefully Monday, October 10, 2005 at his home. He was born June 30, 1915 in Denton, to Francis M. and Gladnus (Parks) Craddock. He was a graduate of Denton High School. His friends and colleagues simply called hin Keith by his middle name. He was married to Elma Cochran of Houston on March 8, 1938. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy immediately after the beginning of WW II and proudly served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Langley, Yeoman at the Communications Station in Washington, DC and served aboard the USS Tulagi. He received an honorable discharge in 1945 and returned to Denton to pursue employment in the family owned grocery store. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Keith enjoyed a multitude of hobbies including hunting and fishing, gem polishing, traveling to National Parks with his family and his favorite past time of creative woodworking.
A private graveside funeral service was held at the I. O. O. F. Cemetery, in Denton with Rev. Dawson Tunnell, officiating.
Keith is survived by his wife, Elma, of 67 years Lake Kiowa, TX and two sons, Kenneth , of Denton, and William, of Sanger, and a sister Lutie Ethel Embry, of Fort Worth. The family withes to thank the staff of Vista Care Hospice of Denton for their excellent care and support.
