Frances Ward, 71, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 after a long illness.  She grew up in Hope, AR and was a long time resident of Denton, TX.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale Ward; two daughters, Debbie Meredith, Kathy Keesee and husband Len; son, Tommie Ward and wife Pennie; sister, Brenda Sikes and her husband Dan; two brothers, Joe Barentine and wife Clara and Jimmy Barentine and wife Carla; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Helen Barentine.  She will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother.  She was a licensed beautician and would often donate her time fixing the hair of the elderly at their homes.  She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and spent many years taking care of the children in the nursery.

Funeral services will be conducted at the chapel at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 10:00 am with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Park.   Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 between 7:00 and 8:00 pm.
