Frances Evelyn Funderburk, 89, of Denton, died Friday October 31, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Funderburk was born March 18, 1919 in Pittsburg, TX to Walter and Minnie (Hughes) Clark. She was married to Emmett Funderburk on October 16, 1937 in Commerce, TX, (Emmett died on November 15, 2000). She was a Homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday November 3, 2008 in the Cindy Nichols Chapel of the First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St., Denton, TX. Rev. Cliff Feeler will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 5 pm Sunday Nov. 2 at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Russell Thompson, Rusty Berg, Toby Rice, David Burgess, Mark Funderburk, Tom Bouldin.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Olton Mark and Sharon Funderburk of Arlington, Nathan Glenn and JoAnn Funderburk of Aubrey; sisters, Corene Smith of Greenville, Jeanell Penn of Hull; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Waldron F. "Butch" Funderburk.
