France's Jane Dawson, 95, passed away peacefully June 22, 2016 with her family by her
side in Austin, Texas. The daughter of R.E. and Frances Kizer, Jane was born December
29, 1920 in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Jane married John L Dawson, Sr. September 9,
1947 in Dallas, Texas. In her younger years, Jane sang in a ladies trio. They would
sing every Sunday on the radio WFAA in Dallas. Jane enjoyed playing bridge, fishing,
and traveling all around the world.
Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denton Texas.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, R.E. and France's Kizer, her husband, John L
Dawson Sr., three sisters, Mae Blanton, Emily Schack and Margaret Oliver.
Jane is survived by her son, John L Dawson, Jr. and his wife Joan of Austin, Texas.,
Daughter Pamela Dawson of Corinth, Texas. Granddaughter Tara and her husband David
Rawdon of Dripping Springs, Texas. Grandson Brandon and his wife Kathryn Dawson of
Allen, Texas. Three great grandsons, Rylan and Rafe Vickery of Dripping Springs, Texas
and Ryan Dawson of Allen Texas. One Great granddaughter Kaylan Dawson of Allen, Texas.
Also several nieces and nephews.
Grave side services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton Texas on Monday June 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.. Visitation will take place at Mulky-Mason Funeral Home,
705 North Locust St. Denton Texas on Sunday afternoon from 4-6pm.
