Obituary

Frances L. Clark, 90, of Aztec, New Mexico, formerly of Denton, died peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2009, at home.  She was born July 1, 1918, in Holloway, Minnesota, to Henry A. and Agnes E. (Hawkinson) DeAustine.  She was married to Edgar Eugene Clark Jr. of Little Elm, TX,  on December 15, 1943,  in Washington, D.C., while Gene was on survivor's leave after his destroyer was sunk in the Mediterranean.  He became a minister after the war, and together they faithfully lived and worked for churches in 8 states.  He preceded her in death on May 19, 1986.   She was a devoted member of the church of Christ.

Frances enjoyed animals, beautiful skies, reading, pretty china, home-cooked meals, flowers, singing and listening to great music, sewing, and wearing bright-colors.  She studied her Bible consistently, was a longtime Bible class teacher, and willing hostess, often sharing her home.

A graveside memorial will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm, Texas.   The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, for visitation on Tuesday January 13, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Clark is survived by a daughter, Kathy Lee of Aztec, NM,  and a son, Bob Clark, of Coeur D'Alene, ID; 4 grandchildren: Jesse Lee (and wife Lisa) of Allen, Tx; Kara Shelton (and husband Jeff) of Carlsbad, NM; Neal Clark (and wife Ana) of San Diego, CA, and Deanna Clark of Camarillo, CA; 7 great grandchildren, and other extended family.
