Dr. Ezra Solomon Joseph, age 78, of Lewisville, passed away at home Wednesday morning following a long illness.  Dr. Joseph was born July 30, 1930 in Rangoon, Burma to Ebenezer Joseph and Elizabeth Joseph.  While he was a medical student he met his wife, Mary, and they were married on, May 30, 1955 at the Christ's Church in Madras, India.  Dr. Joseph spent his life helping others as a surgeon and volunteering for Medical Missions International.  He established and maintained a general surgery practice in Gainesville, Texas from 1977 to 1992 and later in Hondo, Texas from 1992 to 1996.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Joseph of Lewisville; his sons and their wives, John and Siti Joseph of Lewisville and David and Grace Joseph of Rochester, New York and two grandchildren, Rachel and Isaac of Lewisville.  A memorial service will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Lewisville on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1:00p.m.
