Evelyn Ruth Ussery, 94, was born October 7, 1931 and passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, with family at her side.  She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Ora Burch of Lubbock, her husband William Ussery of Krum, her sisters Lola Ussery, Edith Squires, her brothers Carl Burch, Roy Lee Burch, and J.D. Burch, two angel babies, grandson Christopher Smith, and great grandson Landon Smith.

She is survived by her 6 daughters, Patsy Rhinehart, Peggy Fuller, Betty Thomas, Oma Smith, Mary Farmer Rackley, Linda Mills, and 1 son Ricky Ussery. She is survived by 21 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 14 great, great grandchildren with 1 on the way. 

Evelyn loved cooking fried chocolate pies and cooking for her large family. She always wanted to make sure everyone had everything they needed. She loved staying up until midnight watching I love Lucy reruns and doing endless number of puzzles. Her favorite time of year was Christmas to enjoy that dressing and gravy. She loved family gatherings and being surrounded by the people she created with the love of her life William. 

Pallbearers are her son Ricky Ussery, Michael Farmer, Jimmy Smith, Corey Hurst, Thomas Rhinehart IV, and Zackery Luger.
