Evelyn Lee Griffin, age 83, of Portales, New Mexico, passed away November 29, 2006 in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Griffin was born in Benine, Texas on April 16, 1923 to William Harvey and Gladys Irene Whitehead. She married Willie Lee Griffin on July 15th, 1946 in Fort Sumner, NM. She is survived by her daughter , Bonita Cherry, of Decatur, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
