Evelyn Virginia Davis, 95, of Denton, TX, previously of Sun City, AZ, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Denton, TX. She was born November 20, 1920 in Keokuk, IA, to Herman and Ruth Rosencrans. She married Arthur M Davis on June 12, 1943.
Evelyn is survived by her sister, Olivia Grice of Keokuk, IA, her son, Gerald A. "Jerry" and wife, Carol Davis, of Flagstaff, AZ, her daughter, Ruth Ann Davis of Denton, TX; four grandchildren, Trey Norred of Dallas, TX, Elisha Ellsworth of Corinth, TX, Nickolaus Davis of Flagstaff, AZ and Christian "Kit" Davis of Flagstaff, AZ; three great-grandchildren; close friends and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ruth; brother, sister, and her beloved husband, Art.
Evelyn lived her life dedicated to the Lord, and has been a member of Southmont Baptist Church since moving to Denton 8 years ago.
