Evan Sornvong Jr. was born in Mesquite, Texas on November 20, 1992. Evan was baptized into Christ in 2009. He loves Jesus and wanted to be with God one day!  He graduated from Liberty High School in 2011. He graduated from El Centro College in Dallas, TX in 2017 with a degree in computer science which led to an internship (Year Up) at Top Golf.  He worked for the Top Golf Cooperation in Dallas, TX. He was a Technician Specialist. He loved his job and he pursued his dream. He enjoyed playing football at school and outside of school. He loved his church and church family. He was very involved with various church activities. He loved playing games with friends and bringing friends closer together. He loved being with his friends and family 24/7. Evan's friends weren't just friends to him. He said his friends are his family. He was humble and kind. He put everyone's needs first and his last. He grew up to be an amazing man!
On Monday morning, August 6, 2018, Evan passed away in McKinney, TX at Medical City of McKinney to be with his Heavenly Father. Evan is survived by his father, Evan Sornvong, Sr. and his mother, Diane Vilayvanh; brother, Peyton Turpin; grandmothers, Khamphong Vilayvanh and Khamkay Sornvong and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is also survived by his fiancée, Andrea Lillian DuPree and her family: parents, Ron and Beverly DuPree; sister, Shelby DuPree; brothers, Joshua and Jordan DuPree; grandparents, Patricia Mieger, Doug and Cynthia Maxwell, Pete and Jonnie Sheehan; great grandmother Lillian Taron and many aunts and uncles, and cousins.
He had many friends that were like family to him!
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 10, 2018 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 11, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 703 N. Elm St., Denton. Rev. Russ Tieken will officiate the service.
