Dr. Eugene W. Hupp, Ph. D., 75 of Denton, died Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Denton Good Samaritan Village.  He was born February 23, 1933 in Bloomfield, Nebraska, to William S. and Alice (Josiassen) Hupp.  He was Professor Emeritus of Biology at Texas Woman's University.  He was married to Phyllis Maxine Glover in Freemont, NE on June 22, 1957.  He married Marion Barrett on June 8, 1988 in Denton, and she died March 3, 1997.  He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School. He served the U.S. Navy and was active with the Boy Scouts of America.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 28, 2008,  in the Asbury United Methodist Church,  117 Hercules Lane,  Denton, TX  with Rev. Rob Price, officiating.  Burial will follow in Bloomfield, NE.   Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be made to TWU Foundation, Texas Woman's University, Dr. Hupp's Fund c/o Ray Dent,  PO Box 425618, Denton, Texas 76204-5618

Dr. Hupp is survived by daughters, Alice Hupp of Denton,  Victoria Hupp of Valley View, and  step-daughter Debbie Holt of Decatur; sons  Mike Hupp of Valley View  and Steve Hupp of Houston;  sister Mary Jo Mellick of Omaha, NE, brother Duane Hupp of Florence, CO,  and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Janet Reeves.
