Ernest Womack, Sr., age 63, of Ponder, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at his home.

He was born June 23, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to George Wilson Womack and Mildred Marie Holder Womack.

Ernest is survived by his son, Ernest "Rusty" Womack, Jr.; grandchildren, Christa and Chris; sisters, Mae Whisenhunt, Claudetta Berfield and Deanna McArthur and brother, Ronnie L. Womack.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Flower Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
