Emma Lorene Jenson of Denton, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013. She was born on October 22, 1918, to George and Emma Mehlhorn of Tennesse. She moved to Denton after high school and worked for Kimball-Diamond Milling Company. It was there she met and later wed Murray Jenson, upon his return from World War II. They were married for 67 years. Lorene was a homemaker, raising four children, before taking a position at the North Texas State University (now UNT) print shop. She also worked during elections and as voting precinct chair, and continued to work part-time until age 80 during registration at UNT. She was a member of First United Methodist Church since 1947 and a longstanding member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Jenson is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by four children and their spouses: George M. Jenson and wife Pat from Plano, Texas, James P. Jenson and wife Belinda from Rowlett, Texas, Jane Nelson and husband Scott from Denton, Texas, and Anne Henry and her husband George from Lexington, Kentucky. She had eight grandchildren: Teri, Gina, Kevin, Amy, Justin, Carrie, Kim, and Rhonda, and nine great grandchildren. Other survivors include: sister Maxine Hagan of McKinney, Texas, two sisters-in-law, Muriel Jenson of Granbury, Texas, and Geraldine Jenson of Clifton, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
