Elma "Lois" Jones was born on September 22, 1926 in Ponder, Texas to Jack and Viva (Huey) Knox.
Lois was released from the throes of Alzheimer's on June 25, 2015. Lois was married to A.W. Jones, Jr. on August 19, 1946 until his passing in 1981.
Lois was employed by the Selective Service (draft board) for 35 years, where she met Junior. She was smitten right away and said she had never seen so many freckles on one face in her life. She missed him every day for over 34 years.
Lois is survived by her sister-in-law Maybeth Jones of Krum, 6 nephews - Tony Crawford and wife Pat and daughter Meredith of Rockwall, Tim Jones and wife Vicki of Krum, Larry Jones and wife Donna of Ponder, Terry Jones and wife Staci of Krum, Watt Jones and wife Sheree of Sanger, Rick Jones and wife Kristi of Krum and many great nieces and nephews who loved her and enjoyed her sometimes outlandish sense of humor. She made us laugh a lot. We celebrate her life and we will miss her very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia and niece Emily Crawford.
