Obituary

Elma Craddock, 97 of Gainesville Texas, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2013 at the Pecan Tree Heath Care Center. She was born on January 17, 1916 in Houston, Texas to Ethel and Jerome Cochran. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School, and later moved to Denton where she graduated from TSCW now Texas Women's University in 1938 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She married Francis Keith Craddock of Denton in 1938, and was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Elma was a longtime resident of Denton, and a member of the Denton Garden Club, and had numerous hobbies including sewing, arts and crafts, and especially folk art painting. She enjoyed traveling to the many national parks, and made a European tour with her beloved husband of 67 years. She was a resident of the Lake Kiowa Community for 25 years.
A family graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday November 6, 2013 in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Denton under the direction of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.
She is survived by her two sons; Kenneth Craddock of Denton, and William Craddock of Sanger.
