Ella Dora Regina Esch Nations was born on September 29, 1914 in Dallas County near the small town of Coppell, Texas. She was the second of nine children born to Robert and Elizabeth Spellman Esch. On October 17, 1936, she married Tommie Nations in Lewisville, Texas. Tommie and Ella were married for 55 years until his death on December 11, 1991. She retired from the Lewisville Independent School District in 1984. They were active members of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisville and in the greater Lewisville community. Ella passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Lewisville Medical Center. She was 93.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth, her husband Tommie, her brothers, Paul Esch and wife Annie, Edgar Esch and wife Dola, James Esch, Wilfred Esch, and David Esch, and sister Georgia Harrell and husband Roy.

She is survived by two sisters, Dora Ewald of San Antonio, Texas and Rudy Griffin and husband Foye of Ennis, Texas.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Georgia Ann Williams of Lewisville and son Tommie Nations, Jr. and wife Kathy of Denton, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008, at First United Methodist Church, 907 W. Main St. in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.
