IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ella Pauline
Linenschmidt Trietsch
September 29, 2008
Ella Pauline Linenschmidt Trietsch passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008. She was 99 years old. She was born on March 5, 1909 in Denton County, Texas to Louis G. and Matilda Landwehr Linenschmidt. She was the youngest of 6 siblings. She graduated from North Texas University, and taught school in Cooper, Texas. She married Jacob Walter Trietsch on October 8, 1933, and they were blessed with twin sons, Horace and Hollis, in 1934. She spent most of her life residing on the Trietsch family farm in Blue Mound before moving into Denton in the late 1970s. Ella worked for the Denton Sears store for many years in addition to her work on the family farm. She was a member of the Denton County Extension club. She was a lifelong member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church, where she served in many ways. She was instrumental in compiling histories of the Blue Mound community and the Linenschmidt and Landwehr families. She loved to crochet, and warmed many hearts and bodies through the fruits of her labor. She believed that faith was an active verb, and she lived it through her good works every day.Our Gran Ella was famous for her Christmas Eve eggnog and chicken salad. She made a wonderful peach cake and cinnamon rolls. She rolled her apple strudel dough to the width of her kitchen table, and the result would barely fit in the oven. She lived a long, productive life, and she will be sorely missed. We rejoice that she has finally gone to join her loved ones that preceded her in death. She will join her parents, siblings, husband and sons in the eternal company of saints. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rosemary Trietsch, of Arlington, TX; her grandchildren, Dixon Trietsch and wife Cathy of Cedar Park, TX; Carri Trietsch Roberson and husband Lonnie of Denton, TX; Paula Trietsch Chaney, husband Rick and sons Jacob and William of Georgetown, TX; Joseph Trietsch of San Mateo, CA; and Dr. James Trietsch and wife, Dr. Christine Gray of Sacramento, CA.
