Elizabeth Teasley 1919-2012

Funeral services for our beloved aunt, Elizabeth Frances Kincaid Teasley, age 93, will be held in the Cindy Nichols Chapel at the First Baptist Church chapel in Denton, TX at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 and will be conducted by Rev. Cliff Feeler. Visitation is scheduled one hour before the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Our sweet Auntie went to be with the Lord at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, after succumbing to pneumonia in Denton Presbyterian Hospital.

Elizabeth was born February 10, 1919 to Jesse Harvey Kincaid and Elizabeth Sarah Hoskins Kincaid in Bonham, TX. She became a Christian and joined the First Baptist Church in Bonham as a child and remained a member there until adulthood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Harrison Teasley, in January, 2005. Joe and Elizabeth were married April 10, 1943 in Denton which remained their home until death. First Baptist, Denton, has been their church home. Her hobbies were playing piano, needlework, photography, and genealogy .
She graduated from North Texas State University (now UNT) with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music and later added a second BS in Library Science. She was employed by Kingsbury ISD and Conroe ISD, as an elementary music teacher and also taught music at Arlington High School. She was assistant music librarian at NTSU, elementary librarian, music teacher and Elementary Library Coordinator for Denton ISD. She was a member of the Texas Librarians' Association - Retired, Retired Teachers' Association, and a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by nephew and wife, Mike and Patty Kincaid of Shreveport, nieces and husbands, Pete and Mary Woodruff of Trenton, and James and Margaret Melton of Grand Prairie. Great nieces and nephews include Alex, Hedy, Max, and Mallory Melton, Jenny Holmans, Jeff and Jessica Woodruff, David and Brandy Kincaid, Matt and Stephanie Day, and Angela Conklin. Great great nieces and nephews are Collin, Ryan, Drew, Whitney, Allie, Zachary, Kyle, Emily, Lexi, Dillon, Caleb, Conner, Madelyn Grace, and Molly Caroline. She loved each and every one.

Paul Bearers will be Mike Kincaid, Pete Woodruff, James Melton, Alex Melton, Max Melton, and Kyle Woodruff.
