Elizabeth Osborne (Liz)

Denton, TX - Funeral services celebrating the life of Cora Elizabeth Osborne, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Southmont Baptist Church.  Officiating will be Dr. Larry Reynolds.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors on Friday, July 17th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust Street, Denton, TX.

Liz was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 22, 1929 to A.T. and Alma Chapman. and was called home by her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2009.  Liz was a 1947 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, where she was a member of the Tennis and Rifle Teams.  Liz later graduated from Cooke County College in Gainesville, TX, where she earned honors in the Nursing Program.  Liz was a licensed Registered Nurse, who worked in Orthopedics, was also an E.R. Nurse and finally retired as a Nurse with the Denton State School. When asked what her greatest accomplishment in life was, Liz was very proud to say it was her children.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Harrell S. Osborne.  Left to cherish her memory are her children – Duane Stautzenberger (Molly), Mike Stautzenberger, Cheryl Faulkner, Blair Stautzenberger (Alice) and Gary Stautzenberger (Laura).

Liz was also a very loving grandmother & great grandmother and was better known to the family as "Grandma".  She is survived by the following grandchildren:  Chrissy Mallouf (John), Kimberly Faulkner, Jacob Stautzenberger, Brannon Stautzenberger, Heather Parker (Joey), Eric Stautzenberger, Oscar Stautzenberger and Elizabeth Stautzenberger.  Great grandchildren: Madison Mallouf and Holden Mallouf.  Liz is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Stautzenberger, Eric Stautzenberger, John Mallouf, Bill Corder, Joey Parker and Bill Mason.

Liz touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.
