ELIZABETH MAXINE INGMAN

On August 6t, 1912 she entered the world and was met by her two brothers, Donald and Paul. Born in Adena, Ohio, the "largest small town" in the world famous in those days for the 3 millon tons of coal it exported annually out of a six mile radius. An amateur golfer , she won championships in Ohio, West Virginia, Dallas and Houston as she moved from the east to Texas. She is survived by two children, Donna Johnson( husband Brett) and Stanley Ingman (wife Veronique), a grandchild, Taylor Goodman and her child, Jayden, a niece, Paula Bass and her two children, Jason and Amanda, and her uncle's son , William Moore,87.
In the 1930s Elizabeth started her working career demonstrating electric ranges. In her company car ( Model T Ford) she would go from house to house preparing meals for small groups of women. Most of her life was spent taking care of her husband, Bud, her mother, Goldie, her children, and her grandchild. She completed her life's journey dedicating herself to creating "communities " first at the Wedgewood Apartments in Dallas and later at the Vintage Retirement Home in Denton. She died on May 6th. We will celebrate her love of people and life at a Memorial Service in the Vintage dining room at 3 pm, May 21, 2011.
