Elizabeth "Jerri" Geraldine Smith, 76, of Krum, died Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Smith was born on May 30, 1945, in Mart, TX to Alfred Thomas and Nancy Erena (Alderson) Woodall. She was married to Lester "Ed" Edmund Smith on June 17, 1988 in Denton. She was a member of Denton Apostolic Fellowship Church.
Jerri is survived by her husband Ed Smith of Krum; daughter, Polly Dunn & Danny of Krum; sons, Michael Colwick & Judi of Pilot Point, Donnie Colwick & Deanna of Denton; sister, Pauline Williams of West; grandchildren, Katrena Colwick, Cera Colwick, Tiffani Colwick, D.J. Colwick, Anthony Colwick, Maranda Colwick, Daniel Colwick, Corrie Colwick, August Boenker, Christian & Kay Rogers, Emialee Dunn, Holley Dunn and Joshua Dunn. She had fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Danny Len Colwick, by her firstborn son, Ronnie Colwick (survived by his wife, Stacy) and five siblings; Marie, Doris, Frank, Charlie and Jimmie. We cannot forget Dob Williams, who with Pauline, stepped up to finish raising her after her dad's death at a young age. We also cannot forget Jenny Woodall, a sister-in-law, who was a sister until the end. She is survived by two furbabies, Ransom and Abby... and one grandfurbaby... Roo.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Denton Apostolic Fellowship Church, 2801 North Bonnie Brae, Denton. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Denton Apostolic Fellowship, 2801 North Bonnie Brae, Denton, as well. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery, Krum.
