CORRECTED OBITUARY:
Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Dean, 65, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth after her brave battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. She was born February 6, 1943 in Denton to Walter G. and Pearl (Jones) Nichol. She was a graduate of Denton High School. She retired from Texas Instruments after thirty years and was employed by General Telephone Co., and most recently, as a receptionist with the Higginbotham Insurance Co.
A funeral service was held at 10 A.M. Saturday, August 9, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. Rusty Baldridge officiated the service. Burial followed in the Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. Visitation was held on Friday night at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father Walter G. Nichol and husband Willis E. Dean. She is survived by her mother Pearl Nichol; brother William "Butch" Nichol and wife Charlene "Puggie", two daughters, Gayla Ford, and husband David and their son Seth, and Jana Dean; stepsons, Larry Dean and wife Sherri of Krugerville, and Reese Dean and wife DJ of La Rue, TX; stepdaughter, Teresa "Tootie" Bradford and husband Ronnie of Aubrey; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
