Eleanor Kathryn Barns, 87, passed away on Friday, October 02, 2020 at Christus-St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.  She was born September 26, 1933 in Denton, Texas, daughter to Robert Monroe and Frances (Minton) Barns.  She attended Denton Public Schools, Texas Woman's University and North Texas State Universities where she completed her degrees in Occupational Therapy.  She taught and worked in her field for many years.  She is preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.  She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews and their families

She was beloved by a number of people and will be missed. Eleanor, better known as EK, loved animals and had a variety of them over the years.  She was fond of German Shepherds and horses, of which two of her horses that she bred and delivered were with her during the end time of her life.

EK will be buried at Roselawn Memorial Park next to her beloved Father and Mother.

The graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Park.
