Obituary

Edward "Ed" Francis Mullin, 68, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023 05/02/1954in Denton, TX.

Ed Mullin was an amazing man. He wanted to make things right for everyone. I told him 3 days ago that I tried to make a list of adjectives to describe him but couldn't get past the A's. He was amazing, adorable, admirable, approachable, and so much more.

He spent 20 years in the Army rising from MP to Warrant Officer. Among his duties was security for Secretary of Defense Les Aspin and Dick Cheney. He retired as Unit Chief of the Personnel Security Unit of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2018 after helping to form the Unit in Farmers Branch, TX in 2010.

He was a stern but compassionate leader.

He raised two beautiful daughters who looked up to him for his kindness, compassion and understanding. He showed them unwavering support and patience throughout their lives.

He was loved by many for his great laugh, and he gave the best hugs! Although serious at times, he had a sense of humor that made anyone smile and laugh.

Whenever he entered, the room lit up. As a friend, he met every part of the definition; loyal, committed, dependable, available, and he would give the shirt off his back.

He was a bear of a man with a mind full of historical facts and intelligence. His favorite historical figure was John Adams, even naming his home Peacefield Ranch in honor of him.

He was a Boston boy who believed he was a cowboy and his heart belonged in Texas.

Our hearts are broken.

He will be forever remembered as the generous, kind, and incredible man that he was.
