Eber R. Bartee, 85, of Denton, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas. He was born June 6, 1921 at Little Elm, TX to Joseph Hamer and Lila Joan (Seiter) Bartee. He was a graduate of Denton High School Class of 1939, and received a B B A Degree from North Texas State University in 1949. He was married to Clara B. Lambert on August 23, 1947 in Denton. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He retired from Lone Star Gas Co. as a Senior Accountant in 1986. He was a member of the American Legion, Senior Citizen Domino Club, and a Charter member of the Denton Baptist Temple.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, July 1, 2006 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with J.F. Norris, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Friday, June 30, 2006. Pallbearers will be Terry Henrie, Tim Lambert, Randy Walker, Fred Torres, Justin Welch, and Jerry Evatt. Mr. Bartee is survived by his wife, Clara B. Bartee, of Denton, a daughter, Nancy Moore, of San Francisco, CA and two sons, Phil Bartee of Vernon, and Mark Bartee, of Denton. Also by four Grandchildren, Nicole Ellett of Dallas, Valerie Kohl, Amy Torres and her husband Fred, and Justin Welch and his wife Tara all of Denton, five Great- Grandchildren, Jessica Kohl, Emily Torres, Baily Torres, Courtnie Welch, and Corey Welch, his dog Maley, and numerous other relatives and friends.
