Earl Price Fitts, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Krum, Texas on January 27, 2025. Earl was born on December 4, 1936, in Nocona, Texas to Earl Clinton Fitts and Hazel (Price) Fitts. He grew up in Nocona and graduated from Nocona High School before attending Texas Technical College in Lubbock, Texas.
While attending Texas Tech, Earl met his future wife, Anna Kay (Jackson). They were married on July 7, 1961. Earl began working in business and moved to New Orleans, before settling in Denton, Texas in 1976. Earl and his wife Kay owned and operated the Drapery House of Denton for several years before eventually moving to Krum and creating a new company called Quality Customs. Earl was active with the Special Olympics for many years locally in Denton and at the state level. He loved his church family at Central Baptist Church, where he had attended since 1978.
Earl is survived by his wife, Anna Kay; brother, Jimmy Fitts of Florida; his 3 children, Mark and Debbie Fitts of Krum, Texas; Devanie and David Warren of Fort Valley, Georgia; and Bradley Fitts of Krum, Texas; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl C. and Hazel Fitts; and his sister-in-law, Ann Fitts.
A visitation will be held at the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home on Friday, January 31st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Central Baptist Church, Denton, on Saturday, February 1st, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Nocona Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton, Texas.
