Obituary

Dudley Miller Doyle passed away October 25, 2006 after a difficult year of medical problems.

Dudley was born in Denton, Texas on May 28 1936 to Lena Mae and Earl Doyle.
Growing up in Denton during the fabulous fifties, he had a great time with all of his friends, many of whom have remained very close. He had several strong groups of friends including the Bolivar street buddies, DHS groups and his regular Wednesday night card group. Dudley's nickname-"Face" came from his friends in the DHS class of 1954. Dudley played on the Bronco baseball team and was proud that his grandson Jake followed in his footsteps.
During high school he met the love of his life Darlene Hansen. They were high school sweethearts and married on Valentines Day 1956. Dudley and Darlene celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2006.

After graduating DHS and attending North Texas State University, he was employed by the University of North Texas. From the time he was a
young boy, Dudley worked with his father at Doyle Refrigeration and later
became the owner. In retirement, he was the unselfish caregiver to his parents.

Dudley was an easy going, loving father and grandfather who would travel miles to see his grandchildren in sports, rodeos, birthday parties and assorted school activities.

The Doyle children were raised and baptized at First United Methodist Church where he and Darlene were charter members of the Searchers Class. For the
last several years Dudley and Darlene have attended Denton Bible Church.

The Doyle's have 3 wonderful girls, Teresa Jacquin, Tanya Holley and Tammy Whitfield who have provided them with 10 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter. Teresa's children are: Jules and Angelique Jacquin, Tanya's children are; Adam, Caroline and Jake Holley. Tammy's children are; Tiffany Hinchey and her husband Jesse, Courtney Luman, Amanda, Brittany and John Whitfield and great granddaughter Jacy Hinchey. Dudley has son in laws Danny Holley, Adam Whitfield and future son in law Gary Booker to take care of his family. He is
survived by his sister Earlena Day and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Bill Doyle and grandson Jake Holley.
