Douglas Prewitt, 79, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017 in Denton, TX. Douglas was born on October 25, 1938 in Denton, Texas the son of Harold Prewitt and Lavonia Jo Faught Prewitt. Douglas is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Kay Prewitt and his parents.

Douglas is survived by Anna Mills Prewitt of Gainesville, his daughter Kim Guertler and her husband Peter of Denton along with two sons Mark Pannell and wife Kimberly of Denton and Brian Prewitt and his wife Debbie of North Carolina; one sister Carroll Wallace of Denison and one brother Jo Prewitt of Denton; 7 grandchildren Kelsey Guertler, Cody Pannell, Frank Trusty, Sam Guertler and his wife, Deavon, and Katelyn Fish and her husband, Matt and 1 great grandchild, Noah.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Denton Bible Church Chapel with burial following in the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Argyle, TX. A visitation will take place on Monday night from 6-8 p.m. at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust in Denton.
