Douglas Clayton Owen, 40, of Flower Mound, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at his home.  Doug was born September 29, 1968 in San Antonio to Richard Owen and Donna Goldfeder.  He was an avid body builder and loved working with children.  His passion was caring for his animals.  Doug was a member of Fellowship Church in Grapevine.  Survivors include Doug's mother, Donna Goldfeder and step-father, Gary Goldfeder of Georgetown; father, Richard L. Owen of San Antonio; sister, Brook Rojas of San Antonio; step-sister, Jane Anne Jarka of Garland and nephews, Billy and Brandon Jarka of Garland; grandmother, Florence Owen of Del Rio; uncle, Robert Lee Owen of Del Rio and aunt, Patricia Smith of San Antonio.  Memorial contributions can be made in Doug's name to:  Best Friends Animal Society, www.bestfriends.org or the No Kill Shelter of the donor's choice.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 29th from 7-8:30PM.  Funeral service will be at 11:00AM, Thursday, April 30th in the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel.
