Dottie Stout, 84, of Denton, passed away on October 21, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.  She was born July 15, 1924 in Aubrey, Texas to John Walter and Audrey Bessie Blanche (Smith) Turner.  She was married to Ray D. Stout on March 23, 1946 in Denton,  He died  September 9, 1999.  She was a Graduate of Denton High School, and a Member of the Friendship Church, where she was Church Secretary for 20 years, and prior to that was School Secretary at Jefferson Davis Elementry School for seventeen yeas.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M.on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Friendship Church, 3813 W. University Dr.  Denton, with Rev. Danny Helms, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cooper Creek Cemetery.  The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation from 6:00 P.M. unti 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.  In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to your local Church.

Mr.s Stout is survived by a daughter, Renea Gaines, and a son John R. and wife Jacquie Stout, of Denton, Grandchildren   Andrea Lyn Helms and husband Danny Helms,  Rebecca Ann Bowers, and husband Jason Bowers. Great Grandchild,  Jalyn Helms.
