Dorothy C. Wright, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on October 12, 2007 at Universal Hospice in Fort Worth.
She was born on March 4, 1923 in Belle Rive, Illinois to Harl Evan and Mary Fannie (Britton) Smith.
She married Dale V. Wright on December 2, 1944 in Dalhart, Texas.
They spent over 50 wonderful years together.
He preceded her in death on June 20, 1999.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Denton, Texas and a member of the Early Bird class.
She was also involved with the Woman's Missionary Union and the Home Bound Ministry.
She enjoyed over 30 years working with the Garden Culture Club in Denton.
The life Dorothy lived always reflected her love of God and her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, two sisters Shirley Baker and Mary Faber, and her parents.
Mrs. Wright is survived by two daughters and Sons in law, Linda and
Danny Hart from Burleson and Beverly and
Eddie Payne from Lubbock; one sister Louise Starr from Knoxville, Iowa; four grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 15, 2007 in the Cindy Nichols Chapel of the First Baptist Church, 1100
Malone St.
Denton, TX 76201.
Rev. Cliff Feeler will officiate the services and interment will follow in
Roselawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, for visitation from 3 until 5 P.M. on Sunday, October 14, 2007.
