Dorothy Deane Sills, 95, died Friday, February 5, 2021 at The Vintage Healthcare Center.

Ms. Sills was born in 1925 in Denton to James Elbert and Alma (Wood) Sills. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from what is now the University of North Texas and a Master's degree from Texas Woman's University. She worked for many years in Hearne, TX as a High School Home Economics teacher and retired from the Library Science Department at the University of North Texas.

She is survived by her sisters, Jimmie Louise Kinsfather of Denton, Alta Marie Carter of Corpus Christi; two nieces.

A private interment was held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to the public library of your choice.
