Dorothy M. Evans Hampton, 76, of Denton, died Wednesday December 30, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Hampton was born on December 1, 1933 in Denton County to James L. and Minnie Mae (McDaniel) Smith. She was married to Wade Hampton on October 11, 1977 in Durant, OK. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday January 1, 2010 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday January 2, 2010 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Schafer will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, Wade Hampton of Denton; daughters, Edwina Adams of Denton, Sandra Richeson of Bridgeport; son, Ricky Evans and his wife, Christain Evans of Clifton; sister, Imogene Self on Fort Worth; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
