Obituary

On Thursday March 28, 2013, Dorothea "Dottie" Gail McEuin, of Denton, TX took her final breath and entered the Gates of Heaven. She was born March 28, 1944 in Decatur, TX to James Allen Lewis and Josephine Arlice (Malone) Lewis. Dottie was a lifetime resident of Denton and graduate of DHS, UNT and TWU. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Denton where she served her Lord by working with youth, singing in choir, and sharing his love. After selling the family business in 1987, Dottie worked at the Denton ISD in a number of roles, starting as a substitute teacher to fulfilling her passion as a Grade Level Counselor at Denton High School where love for students, our future, shined. She filled them with hope, was a shoulder to cry on and was adamant about continuing their education and never giving up on themselves, a true role model. A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday March 23rd at First Baptist Church Denton and on Saturday March 30th a graveside service was officiated by Bro. Ken Cartwright at Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by her children and spouses and their children: son G. Ray and Kari McEuin III of Flower Mound, Raena Gayle of Denton, Brayden James of Sachse, Grayson Riley and Kaleb Matthew of Flower Mound, Alexander Kent Borland of Blacksburg, VA, and Lindsey Alissa Borland of Flower Mound; daughter Malinda Gale and Jason Yeargin, Levi Michael, Cole Taylor, Chase Allen Mabry, Hunter Gray Yeargin, and Patrick Blake and Tyler Keith Yeargin all of Sherman, TX; son James Allen and Courtney McEuin, Hasten Lewis and Kydwyn McEuin of Louisville, KY; son Ryan Earl McEuin, Caroline Lynn, Shane Austin, and Dylan Timothy McEuin of Denton, TX, brother Carrol D and Barbara Lewis of Janesville, WI. She is preceded in death by her husband Grady Raymond McEuin, Jr. her mother and father, Josephine Arlice (Malone) and James Allen Lewis, mother and father-in-law Della Arminda "Pat" (Travis) and Grady R McEuin, Sr., brother Joe Allen Lewis, and grandson Tristan Eliot McEuin.
