Doris Wells, 95, of Denton, died Sunday November 14, 2010 at The Atrium Medical Center in Corinth.
Mrs. Wells was born on May 5, 1915 in Edgewood, TX to William Cornelius and Ora Chapell (Hindman) Stewart. She was the fifth of nine children and graduated from Edgewood High School. She was employed by the federal government after WWII managing war assets. She was married to David Wells on May 12, 1949 in Dallas (he died on October 19, 1996). She a member of the "Wives Club", a social club of wives of FEMA employees.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday November 19, 2010 in the Cole Chapel of the First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Locust, Denton. Rev. Lisa Marshall will officiate the service. Interment will be Saturday November 20, 2010 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Parr of Denton, Betsy Mattucci of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Daniel Parr of Denton, Chrissy Mattucci and her husband Corey Orton of Pearl, MS. She will be missed by her close knit loving family.
