Doris Elaine Thomas, 76, of Sanger, TX passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.  She was born September 3, 1932 in Denison, TX to James Otis and Nora B. (Newland) Woodruff.  She was married to Bill Thomas, on June 6, 1950 in Roanoke, TX. She was a Homemaker and member of the Gribble Springs Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in the Gribble Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Sparkman and Doug Crabb officiating. Burial will follow in the Gribble Springs Cemetery. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Monday, December 22, 2008 for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Bill Thomas of Sanger; daughters, Cynthia Ann and husband Tom Maloney of Tacoma, WA,  Marilyn Sue Caudill of Albany, OR; sons, Jerald Wayne and Wife Shelly Thomas of Baker, OR and Steven Earl and wife Kim Thomas of Washougal, WA; and a brother, Donald Mac and wife Janice Woodruff of Oakland, OR; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, and other extended family members.
