Doris Long, 85, of Denton, formerly of Ponder passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born February 27, 1930 in Chico, Texas to Frank and Vera (Parker) Wortman. She was married to Travis Long on September 22, 1945 in Decatur, TX; he died on June 4, 2004. She attended public school and was a member of the Methodist Church. She was a Homemaker.
Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Judy Gale Long of Denton; sisters, Christine Scott of Keller and Wanda Sue Norton of Justin; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Many step grandchildren nephews and nieces.. She was preceded in death by a son Jerry Wayne Long.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Mulkey-Mason funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M.
