Donna Gayle Pearson, 72, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024 surrounded by loved ones in Denton, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10:00am at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX 76201.

Donna was born on September 20, 1951. She was raised in Denton and attended Denton High School, class of 1969. She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in English. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher who taught and inspired for over three decades, a passionate artist and published author. She was a mother to two children, Kalyn Spitler and Nathan Pearson, and grandmother to five precious grandchildren that meant the world to her.

She is survived by her daughter Kalyn Spitler married to Matthew Spitler and their son Isaac, her son Nathan Pearson married to Kristyn Pearson and their children Kylie, Karter, Kaleb and Kole as well as her two sisters Judy Good and Barbara Ganzer.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Othel Odell Ford and Flossie Pauline (Witt) Ford and adoptive father Jack Harwell, her brother James Harwell, as well as her husband of 21 years, Dennis Pearson. May their reunion bring peace, and may Donna be remembered for the love and joy she brought to those around her.
