Donna Jane (Stohr) Moses, 91, made her transition Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Denton, TX. Donna was born in Glasgow, KY on June 11, 1927 the daughter of Clyde Maynard Stohr and Pauline Freda Owens Stohr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Howard Eugene Moses, and by a son, Howard Moses, Jr. Donna is survived by six children: Pauline Victorsen, (Bluejay, CA); Patricia Love (Brandon, UK); Nancy Moses (Seattle, WA); Heidi Leonhardt (Hohenpeissenberg, Germany); Barbara Moses (Franklin, TN); Donald Moses (Denton, TX). Donna is survived by 17 grandchildren (to whom she is known as "Oma"), and by 25 great grandchildren (who live in three US states, and two EU countries). And Donna is survived by her brother, John Stohr (Garner, NC). All will miss her greatly, but we rejoice that she is with our Lord Jesus Christ for eternity.

Donna trained in secretarial school, and completed evening classes at Moody Bible Institute, while her husband studied for ministry; thereafter, they moved to Germany in May of 1952, where Donna was active in church, children ministries, and camp ministry for over 50 years. She was known as an excellent cook, preparing meals for 10s of campers. She played piano, organ (both self-taught), and sang duets with her husband. Donna enjoyed hosting guests, conversation, cake decorating, knitting, and Bavarian folk painting. She was known as a gentle, sweet, and personable individual, who made the most delicious cinnamon rolls.

When asked: "What amazes you most?"  Donna replied: "How God's leading is always right."

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday October 20, 2018 in Denton. TX at the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Vincent officiating. A reception will follow at 4:00 PM hosted at Dogwood Estates, where Donna lived for the past 11 years. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Richburg Cemetery, Richburg, New York tentatively on Saturday October 27, 2018 with our cousin Rev. Dave Herne officiating.
