Obituary

Donna (Grandma D) May Koert was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. After a short battle with cancer, she gained her perfect, heavenly body on April 22, 2022.

Donna was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leonard and Fay Violet Rutkowski on November 7, 1949. She married Asim (Ozzie) Hodzic in 1971. They had two beautiful daughters, Bonni and Morriah. Donna had several talents and hobbies. She loved to bake, sew, bowl, play softball and throw dinner parties while entertaining her guests on her piano. She conveyed her love for Christ by reading her bible, volunteering at the Sanger Senior Center, the Sanger Crisis Center and delivering Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, in Sanger Texas. One thing that always brought a smile to her face was talking about Evangelist Billy Graham and that they shared the same birthday.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her niece Sherri Swan. She is survived by her sister Barbara Swan of Manitou Springs, Co., daughter Morriah and husband Frank Saenz of Sanger, Tx. daughter Bonni Clements of Sanger, Tx., grandchildren Madison Agado, Sage Harris, and Syler Saenz and great niece Brooke Cambridge-Swan.

A memorial service will be held at Victory Baptist Church in Sanger, Texas on May 7, 2022 at 11am.
