Donald H. Kobe, 79, of Denton passed away peacefully at his home on December 3, 2013. Donald was born in Seattle, Washington on January 13, 1934 the son of Kenneth and Jeneva Holm Kobe .Donald graduated from the University of Texas and went on to earn his Master's degree and Ph. D. from The University of Minnesota. Donald was a professor at The University of North Texas where he later retired. Donald was a long time member of The First Baptist Church of Denton. Donald is survived by his wife Sonia; sister-in-law Sueli Couri of Sao Paulo, Brazil; mother-in-law Maria Couri of Brazil; nephew Pedro Lagonegro of Brazil; sister Jeanie Kobe Pengra and husband Marshall of Houston; neice Jeannine and husband Kelly Haizlip of Houston; nephew Trey LaMair and wife Elizabeth of Austin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Denton in the Cindy Nicholls Chapel with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Park.
