Denton Tx – Donald Frank Vedral, PhD, DO, 85 of Corinth, Texas passed away at Medical City Denton on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

Donald Frank Vedral (Doc), was born June 21, 1934 in Gregory, South Dakota to James and Emma Vedral.  Doc worked on the family farm during his childhood and was a proud Graduate of Gregory High School's Class of 1952.  After high school he pursued a variety of College Degrees culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Kansas and eventually a Doctor of Medicine at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1972.  After graduation Doc moved to Duncanville, Texas to practice medicine.  His first major assignment was at Stevens Park Medical Hospital in Dallas Texas. In 1979 he started his own medical practice in Cedar Hill, Texas.  One of Doc's proudest professional moments was when he held the office of President of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association from 1991-92.  He not only served his community as a medical professional, but also as a reserve police officer with the Cedar Hill Police Department for more than 25 years.  Doc practiced medicine until December 25, 2010 due to health complications.

He was proceeded in death by his father James, mother Emma, brothers Melvin and Harlan, sister Norma, and daughter-in-law Barbara.

He is survived by his former spouse Glorianne Bergman; sons, David, Steven, Daniel and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Dillon, Travis and wife Tyler, Lacey, Owen, Donnie, Karl, Rachel, Meredith and husband Keaton, and Jason; great grandchildren, London, Bristol, Everly and, Lennon, and many nephews and nieces
