It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Ray Carter, 71, of Little Elm, TX, who passed away peacefully at home on July 25th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Don was born in July of 1953 in Augsburg, Germany, to the late Woodrow Wilson and Bessie Lee Carter. He spent his formative years in Mineral Wells, TX, where he developed a strong sense of community and family values.

On July 11th, 1976, Don married the love of his life, Pamila Seay, in Richardson, TX. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Don is survived by his devoted wife and their sons, Raun Carter and wife Jessica of Pilot Point, TX, and Nathan Carter and wife Jennifer of Anna, TX. He also leaves behind seven adoring grandchildren, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved fur-legged companions, Piggy and Trixie.

Don will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and his love for animals. A memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at 11 am at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 125 N. Jefferson St., Pilot Point, TX, 76258.

May he rest peacefully, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be forever missed by all who knew him.
