Donaciano (Don) Sustaita, age 57, of Lewisville, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at Denton Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 23, 1949 in Frisco, Texas to Rafael and Maria Sustaita.
Don is survived by his wife, Teresa; daughters, Norma Sustaita, Maria Zubrieta,
Nora Jean Sustaita and Nelda Sustaita all of Lewisville; sons, Don Sustaita, Jr. of
Little Elm and Samuel Sustaita of Lewisville; 12 grandchildren including Daven and Devon Escobedo whom he raised as his own; sisters, Julia Sandoval of Lewisville, Adela Cedillo and Angelita Torres both of Robstown, Texas and Alicia Rodriguez of Terrell, Texas; brothers, Rafael Sustaita, Jr. of Lewisville and Robert Sustaita of Robstown, Texas. Don is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Frances Olguin; brothers and sisters-in-law and many other relatives and friends. Don was preceded in death by one son, Raul Sustaita, by a great grandchild and by a sister, Elida Sustaita. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Cantu and Dr. Robert Connaughton.
Don loved music and was the founder of several norteno groups, including
Los Diabeticos Del Norte and Amistad Nortena.
Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2007, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Flower Mound. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville in charge of arrangements.
