Frances Dolores Kendrick Hayes passed away on February 10, 2025 in Richardson, Texas. She was 93 years and 4 months old at the time of her death. She was born on September 14, 1931 in Sweetwater, Texas to Sterling Leon Kendrick and Mary Frances Fitzgerald Kendrick.
She was a 1950 graduate of Stamford High School in Stamford, Texas. During her early career she worked as the Lead Claims Clerk and Secretary for the Texas Employers' Insurance Association in Abilene, Texas covering the western region of their company. She worked in the insurance industry in the Fort Worth and Amarillo area until her retirement.
Dolores married Ralph Dale Hayes on April 10, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas. Ralph's career took them to Amarillo, Texas and they had been married for over 47 years until his passing in 1999. In December 1999 Dolores relocated to Plano until moving to Richardson, Texas in 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and most important a Christian. She was the most sweetest, kindest and always had a smile on her face no matter what life threw her way. Dolores enjoyed traveling and seeing the world with her sister and brother-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Carol Kendrick Meyers.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Leigh Hayes of Naples, Florida; son, Jon Marc Hayes of Richardson, Texas; granddaughter, Alexandria Leigh Hayes; grandson Nathaniel Christopher Hayes; brothers, Marion "Kerry" (Carol) Kendrick and David Sterling Kendrick; brother-in-law, Charles Meyers; nephews Jerrod and Kevin Kendrick, nieces Holly Ogden, Cheryl Early and Janice Howe.
Services will be on February 17, 2025 at 10:00am at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton, Texas. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
The family would like to thank the staff at Richardson Methodist Medical Center, 6th floor ICU.
