Dina May Fields, 87, of Corinth, TX formerly of Salinas, CA, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Vintage in Denton, TX. She was a dedicated Lady to her husband and her entire family, born July 27, 1920 in Miami, Texas to T. J. and Nellie (Roberts) May. She was married to Mark S. Fields, in Las Vegas, NV on April 23, 1951, he died June 22, 2007. She served in the U. S. Navy during WW II as a Radioman. She is a member of the Methodist Church, She and Mark were avid travelers and she was a volunteer for The Valley Guild, and a member of Corral De Tierra County Club, of Salinas, CA.
A Memorial will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Lisa Marshall, officiating, with internment in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.Mrs. Fields is survived by her daughter, Julie Persons, of Corinth, TX a son Ross Jefferson Fields, of Tucson, AZ a sister in law, Ruth Ella May, of Canadian, TX a cousin, Cherolyne Hendon, of Morton, TX and three grandchildren, Bobby Persons, Dina Persons, of Corinth, TX and David Garrison, of Monterey, CA.
