Obituary

Dewey Bassinger, age 84, of Lewisville, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008, in Lewisville.

He was born January 6, 1924 in Lewisville to David Dewey Bassinger and Lillie Mae Wallace Bassinger.  Dewey served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Wanda Bogle on December 21, 1948 in Gainesville.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as a computer programmer for Taylor Publishing Company in Dallas.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Glenda Revert of Lewisville; son, David Bassinger and his wife, Yvonne of Lewisville; grandchildren, Blair Capps and husband, Jeff, Reid Bassinger, Ross Bassinger, Jake Gravley and wife, Karen and Toni Howrilka; great grandchildren, Ella, Noah and Dominick; and sister, Emma Belle Smith of Marietta, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.
